דַּרְשָׁןm. (preced. wds.) interpreter of the law, lawyer, lecturer. Lev. K. s. 30, beg.Pi. דַּרְשָׁנִים, דַּרְשָׁנִין. Sot.49b; Tosef. ib. XV, 5 דֹּורְשָׁנִים. Gen. R. s. 5. Koh. R. to VII, 5; a. fr.Fem. דַּרְשָׁנִית, pl. דַּרְשָׁנִיֹּות B. Bath. 119b ד׳ היו (not הן, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l.) were good lawyers (arguers).
